Blogger's Media Kit

Blogger’s Media Kit

On the last episode of Blog Your Way to a Business Profit Podcast I talked about Influencer Marketing and tips for brands looking to work with micro influencers.

This is the time of year that many brands are reaching out to bloggers and influencers.  However, if instead you have decided to start reaching out to brands and businesses or have signed up with marketing agencies, you will need to make sure that you have a Media Kit.

A blogger’s Media Kit is basically a resume or one-sheet that outlines the best features of your online presence. A media kit is a summary of your main achievements, statistics and social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, You Tube, Facebook, etc and is centrally located in one place which makes it easier for you when you start to apply for various campaigns.

The main goal of your Media Kit is to introduce your blog to potential advertisers. It lets them know all about your blog, from what kind of articles you write to how many followers you have on your blog and other social media platforms. It doesn’t have to be long and boring, it can be just one page or if you have a lot to include, make it two or three pages.

The most important thing about your Media Kit is to BE RELEVANT to brands by telling them what’s in it for them. Meaning, WHY should they partner with you? What do you bring to the table?

A media kit shows you’re serious about your blog. And looking serious, polished, and professional can lead to better brand partnerships which means more money for you!

Take a listen to last week’s podcast, Blogger’s Media Kit to hear what you should include in your media kit as well as a few tips, then leave a few of your own.

Do you have a Media Kit?

  1. Awesome stuff. As someone who’s worked in communications and marketing, I can’t believe I don’t have a media kit for myself. Thanks for this great reminder, and for the awesome content on your site. Keep at it, Antionette!
