Is Blogging Good for the Brain? Yes it is!

With the self quarantine due to COVID19 and the stress of the Coronavirus pandemic you may need to blog it out…you need to write it out…even talk it out!

Writing is healing…writing is cathartic…it helps to get those thoughts out of your head…it is a a way to release stress and to even share similar topics, interests and experiences with others.

Write it out!

Lately we have been seeing some very scary scenes of men and women throughout the country storming Capitol buildings demanding their government to open up again; to reopen the stores; the shops; the nail salons demanding to get back to work…to get paid..to get back to normal…hmm back to normal, there will never be normal, we’re living in a new normal now.

I am not here to debate nor defy the decisions of our health care officials as they have nothing to gain by trying to keep us safe, but I hope that those who wanted to defy common sense realize that they are adding to the anxiety and angst that is already prevalent during this time.

So today, on Blog Your Way to a Business Profit Podcast I wanted to pivot just a bit and ask, “Is blogging good for the brain?” Yes it is!

Blogging and mental health

Not only does blogging give you an outlet to release all those pent up thoughts, ideas and craziness that may be clouding your mind, but it’s also a great way to connect with others who may be going through the same thing as we are all in this together, however, how we deal with it is an individual decision.

Just think about this: our brave military men and women who may be suffering from post traumatic stress disorder; they may have experienced things in life and feel as though no one understands, however, if they started journaling or blogging which is online, I am sure that they would begin to find others who may be feeling the same or may be going through something very similar and can offer up perhaps words of inspiration or even create a bond to share those thoughts with others.

Serenity Health & Home Decor

During my years of teaching and speaking I have recommended that the spouses and school-age children of our brave men and women do the same as it is a way for them to connect with others who may be feeling or going through similar situations.

They can offer up tips on military family life, traveling, relocating, new school jitters; basic base life and that blog can even be turned into a stream of income.
