Podcast interview with Greg Plum

The Path to Freedom and Flexibility A Podcast Interview with Greg Plum

I recently had an opportunity to interview Greg Plum on “Out & About with Antionette” podcast.

Greg is the SVP of Strategic Alliances for Markee, a SaaS communications platform serving the telehealth industry, as well as working with local staffing agency, The Finders, helping companies with their technical staffing needs.

Greg is also a vocal proponent of volunteerism, with this message culminating in a recent TEDx Talk: Give Til it Hurts.  His current volunteer efforts include serving as the chair of CompTIA’s Emerging Technology Community, a member of CompTIA’s North American Executive Council, while, locally, Greg chairs the Technology Forum of Delaware, and is a mentor for the University of Delaware’s Lerner Executive Mentoring Program.

Greg graduated from University of Delaware but he’s not a native Delawarean.  He’s been here for 30+ years and he enjoys the state because of its hi-tech scene.

Greg and I talked about the changes in attitudes of our younger generations, when even just 2 years ago job hopping wasn’t acceptable but now side gigging and transferring to new jobs is acceptable especially in the tech world.  New graduates have more options today and enjoy learning something new even if it isn’t what they received their degree in.

Greg is a techie who loves traveling and has been to Australia as well as California and at the time of this recording was preparing to fly to Chicago for a COMPTIA project.

COMPTIAThe Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) is an American non-profit trade association, issuing professional certifications for the information technology (IT) industry. It is considered one of the IT industry’s top trade associations.

Volunteerism is near and dear to Greg’s heart and what he is very passionate about serving others in the community.  Greg also is a volunteer mentor at the University of Delaware where he works with students in the Business School program.  Take a listen to this entire episode of our interview and to learn more or to connect with Greg:
