They offer a quiet place to read and relax, but they also provide vital services that our families depend on, like job fairs, ESL classes, and programs for children and teens. They are a lifeline for so many, a place where our grandchildren can get help with homework or find a new passion.

They only receive about half of their funding from the county, which means they have to fundraise the rest just to keep the doors open. This is a tough road, and it’s forcing them to cut back on hours and staff. It’s hard to imagine, but places like the Selbyville Public Library had to raise a staggering $87,000 in one year just to break even!
