Mike, who is an Army VET and is currently in the US Navy Reserve oftentimes has less than a 24-hour notice to travel so this has enabled him to become sort of a travel expert.  He has many opportunities to connect with a lot of people from around the world with many opportunities to learn about various cultures.

Mike has an opportunity to help others, answer their questions especially when they ask about specific countries or locations.  He is able to give them a proper answer based upon his experience of being there.  As a matter of fact when I asked about taking a trip to Dubai this was music to his ears because of his first hand knowledge of after having visited there many times and he highly recommended it.

I then asked Mike if travel had changed post-Covid, as prior to the pandemic most of us booked our own travel using websites but now with so many changes, would it be better to book with an agent?

Mike stated that it is definitely better to work with an expert travel agent, one with expertise and knowledge. Somebody like him, someone who has traveled the world and actually experienced it, which you’re not going to get by going online and reading a paragraph on a website.

Mike is a real person who will always give you the real truth and will be honest based upon previous experiences; providing you with the do’s and don’ts of traveling to specific locations.  He will provide you with cultural trends and insights that you’re not going to get from reading a website, you’ll be speaking to somebody who is knowledgeable in many areas when it comes to traveling around the world.

Google searches will give links to websites that are honest, yet may contain biased opinions because they are more interested in charging as much as they can on your credit card. Mike can give you honest, un-biased opinions, including the safety of a resort and it’s up to date with the current stats.

Booking with an agent, you’re going to get personalized service.  Mike is going to curate a vacation especially for you, one that you’re not going to be able to find if you go to a travel site such as Expedia.

Mike will use his experience and expertise to get the best deal even if he used Expedia as the supplier, however, he is not going to tack on excessive fees and with the agency’s best price guarantee if you do find a lower deal for the same package, they will match the price.

Mike, however, will ensure that you are getting the best deal, the best amenities and accommodations, which is not guaranteed with other online booking sites and this is vital especially with cruises.

Vacations are well-earned and well-deserved and you will have a peace of mind when working with Mike, you will be in good hands and he will ensure that if something does go wrong that your travel insurance covers everything for which you purchased.  If you are of a particular age or have a pre-existing condition it is definitely advised to have travel insurance before you leave the country so that you are well taken care of if anything does go wrong.

  1. Thank you, this is great information! Would they be able to assist in determining new travel codes and rules pertaining to updates from COVID? My husband and I have been trying to figure out where to go for our honeymoon, if we would need vaccines, if masks are still required, and so on.
