The beginning of the year gives us an opportunity to reflect on the past and look forward to the future. If your 2019 didn’t go as well as you wanted or expected, now is the time to hit the reset button and pursue your dreams.
Set goals that challenge you but are still reachable. I recommend writing them down in a place where you can refer to them frequently. That way, they can guide you in managing your time and channeling your resources.
Here are six confidence boosters to make 2020 your best year ever:
Delegate
Consider your strengths and the areas where you’re not so strong. Think about delegating those tasks you don’t like to do or aren’t good at to a virtual assistant.
Screen out Distractions
Clear away the clutter from your desk and your mind. I use a planner to block out my day and ensure I have time to work on the priorities that will grow my business. When you use a planner, you will also be able to see where you’re spending time on tasks that drain your energy or don’t move you closer to your goals.
Practice Self Care
When you travel, the flight attendant advises you to put the oxygen mask on yourself first before assisting anyone else traveling with you. As business owners we tend to put our families and our clients first before taking care of ourselves, but it really should be the opposite. Eat nutritious foods, exercise regularly, and sleep well to keep your mind and body in peak condition.
Become a Life Long Learner
Every experience brings with it a chance to add to your talents. In addition to your personal experiences, seek out someone you can learn from. Follow them on social media, read their blogs, and sign up for their training. Your budget may not have room for you to purchase training from a top person in your industry, but chances are, they’ve written one or more books. For twenty dollars, you can take advantage of their lifetime of wisdom.
Ask for Advice & Feedback
I recommend getting together with other business professionals who share your drive and vision. Choose people who complement your skills and challenge you to take things to the next level.
Remember Your Purpose
The best way to stay motivated is to remember why you want to succeed. Is it to gain a better life for you and your family, is it to help others? Whatever your reason, remembering your ‘why’ will help you persevere for as long as it takes to reach your goals.
Follow the six confidence boosters above and you’re bound to have a successful 2020!

These are great tips! I especially love the reminder to remember your purpose!
Yes, we must never forget our purpose and plan on leaving the legacy that many will remember.
Awesome post! I keep a planner myself and I love how it’s able to keep me on track for my day to day goals. I need to dust off my long term ones. Haven’t looked at those in a couple months now.
Yes, I have several planners but even with that, things slip through the cracks but at least I completed my 1st goal for 2020 – blogging book is published!
Some fantastic tips! I always struggled to delegate, I wanted to know the job was done properly! Probably why I work well as a blogger, because if I don’t do it, no-one else will! Sim x SimsLife
Yes, I understand completely, but sometimes for health and sanity reasons it’s best to delegate.
f you want to achieve something, then you need to be obsessed with this goal! Every second, think about her and take action!
