Yesterday I dropped off the last donation of the year at Goodwill and when I checked in via the Swarm app, it showed that it was my 55th trip in 2018!

Earlier that day, my son and I were putting away the holiday decorations which were much fewer than in previous years because we plan on putting the house on the market in 2019. However, there were still a few boxes of dishes in the crawl space so I decided to do some more clearing of the clutter for the new year.

Along with the boxes of dishes there was a box of Tayair’s preemie clothes from 1992, and it was promptly placed in the outside dumpster.

It’s time to clear the clutter for the new year.

As I loaded my car with the other boxes to take to Goodwill I wondered just how much closer I was to totally de-cluttering the house and if it was something that I also needed to do for my mind, body and soul.

What do I need to de-clutter from my mind and spirit as we head into a new year?

It may have been my 55th trip to Goodwill in 2018, but I still have a ways to go to totally rid the house of unnecessary an unused items.

However, starting in 2019, I will be heading into my 58th year but it’s the 1st year of totally being an Encore Entrepreneur whose ultimate goal is to become a “successinaire”

So let’s see…what do I need to rid from my mind and what clutter needs to be cleared in order to make this happen?

Tonight as I kneel in prayer at midnight, I will ask for guidance and clarity in order to totally de-clutter my mind, to remove any negative thoughts, actions or emotions and that my friends will be my last donation in 2018 as we head into a new year.

    1. I know, I am getting so tired of de-cluttering only to find more junk – what in the world….I am looking forward to moving into a smaller footprint.

  2. Sis, I got so much clutter in my home! I need to start going through it and donate the majority of it. And don’t stone me…I still have my holiday decorations up. I just haven’t had the time since I had been out of town.

    1. Okay, I know that I am late in responding, however, I do hope those Christmas decorations have been put away! It seems like I am at Goodwill weekly and always throwing something in the trash, however, doesn’t look like I am making any progress. Good luck to you!
