Out & About with Antionette Podcast with Jason McCall

Looking for the Giveback with Jason McCall

I recently had an opportunity to interview Jason McCall on Out & About with Antionette podcast.

Jason, is a Baltimore native who has been living in the Wilmington area full time since 2008 but has been in Delaware since 2002; when he started his matriculation at THEE Delaware State University. While attending DSU from 2002-07, Jason was a member of the Marching Band and the DSU Concert Choir. After leaving DSU, Jason began a career in corporate America starting 2008. In 2019, Jason had an awakening regarding what he wanted to do in life and his true purpose.

From working with kids at Gunning Bedford to serving at West End Neighborhood House via Public Allies and now to his current role as a caseworker/field representative for the Hon. Lisa Blunt Rochester; Jason has realized what he should do in life: Serve Others.

He is most proud of his membership in the MWULYP; where he just finished a term as Vice President and his new gig moonlighting in broadcasting with his friend Nick Alessandrini at DETV as they cover local and national sports. Jason is also a recent honoree of the DBT 40 Under 40 for work in both his professional and civic spaces.

The award of DBT40 made Jason feel that he was on the right track…that he is doing the right thing. He no longer has to suffer from impostor syndrome, knowing that he is doing the work that he has been blessed to do and looking for the giveback.

You should listen to the entire podcast episode to learn more about Jason and his exciting news about his future, including his recent engagement and induction into the 100 Black Men of Delaware.
