Social at Main in Smyrna is Showcasing Small Businesses in Delaware

Toya Boseman-Howie is a serial entrepreneur. Owner and operator of All Beautiful Children Learning Academy located in Dover Delaware, & along with her husband, Brandon Howie, they operate Howie B Media Group and their newest business venture is Social at Main, an intimate event space located in Historic Smyrna Delaware.

Toya is also a wife and mother of three beautiful children; an educator, owner and operator of all Beautiful Children Learning Academy. She was inspired by her mother who started as a Teacher’s Aide at her elementary school when she started kindergarten, in 1988.

Toya began her entrepreneurship journey in 2010, in Pennsylvania, where she opened up her first child care facility and shortly after expanded the business.  After commuting from Pennsylvania to Delaware she opened up another facility in Dover, DE.

She and her husband then started Howie B Media Group, where they provide a number of services including photography, videography, 360-Photo Booth and other services and their most recent venue Social at Main is an intimate event space.

Social at Main can host a number of different events such as networking events, private meetings and ceremonial birthday dinners and other celebrations.  The main purpose of starting Social at Main, was to be able to provide a space where the locals could get together and enjoy an event in a smaller crowd. 

Toya and Brandon are also assisting other entrepreneurs as well because based upon their personal experiences they understand that there are many obstacles that entrepreneurs face when it comes to starting a new business and continuing along the path of entrepreneurship.  Together they want to be a resource to be able to provide assistance. They also want to use Social at Main to be a venue that hosts networking and empowerment events.

There have already been several events and there are even more fun things coming up for the month of December.  They will be hosting another Karaoke Night; a Networking Mixer; Talk about it Tuesday, which is going to be a network and empowerment event for women; and they will also be hosting a Pop-Up Shop for the small local businesses in the area.

Social at Main is a nice, small safe place that hosts Pop Up Shops that include women’s clothing, boutiques, jewelry, bakery and soon Soul Food on Sundays and these events and Pop Up Shops are perfect for families during the holidays by providing gift giving options all under one roof.

There was a recent Cupcakes and Paint event which was very well attended as all the tickets were sold out and a local Chef provided the cupcakes.   If you are a small vendor looking to hold an event at Social at Main, they will also help you promote it on social media and with the distribution of flyers.
