We see the signs everywhere, “THANKFUL GRATEFUL BLESSED” especially this time of the year, however, how many times do you really stop to think about some of the things that make you THANKFUL GRATEFUL AND BLESSED?

If you know me then you know that I am a very positive person; one who loves helping others without expecting anything in return, which is a great trait to have in life but not in business…but that’s a different story for a different day.

Anywho, on Saturday I was overwhelmingly surprised, thankful and grateful when I was presented with the “Outstanding Service Award” from the brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc, Psi Iota Chapter.

Last year, I was asked to and graciously accepted the request to organize the Quette activities for their 71st 2nd District Conference held in April; it was more fun than work for me and I had no intentions of doing it for any sort of recognition.

Not only was I surprised to be the recipient of the Award but hubby was just as surprised when he was called up to present it!

Now here is where the true THANKFULNESS GRATEFULNESS AND BLESSINGS comes into play. You see, several months ago I was once again contacted by Brother Greg Bunkley who needed information about my husband because they were going to honor him with the “James R. Harris Unsung Hero Award” at the 2019 Achievement Awards Program.

I was tasked with getting a little history and background on Brother Blake prior to him becoming a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Hubby and I have only been married for 29 years, and have known each other for about 31, so I had to do some major undercover investigation to get information from 45+ years ago.

I had fun slickly asking questions about his high school years and even more fun keeping everything a secret. So when it was announced that he was the recipient of the award, a heartfelt presentation from Brother Paul Chapman he too was THANKFUL GRATEFUL AND BLESSED as well as a loss for words!

On Saturday, November 16th, not only we were both surprised, honored and humbled to be recognized but more so, we were THANKFUL GRATEFUL AND BLESSED!!
