Why Boomers Should Tune In To Podcasts

Podcasts are a great way for Boomers to stay informed and entertained.

A few weeks ago my husband’s aunt called and asked him how I was using my podcast to talk to the dead!

Huh…I don’t use my podcast as a medium to reach the other side – I do however, use my podcast as a medium to leave a legacy.

However, a few minutes later, a lightbulb moment hit.

She had only read the promo of the recent podcast episode, but didn’t listen to the show to hear that I was encouraging families to start a podcast now while family members are still alive so that later they can hear the voices of their deceased loved ones.  This is a similar to the story of an NFL player who’s mother passed away; he keeps her cell phone service active so that he can call and hear her voicemail and also leave messages when he has exciting news to share.  It gives him comfort to hear her voice as it did for me when I would call  and listen to the voice recorded greeting on my sister’s answering machine after she was killed in a car accident in 1992.

As the Baby Boomer generation continues to age, it’s important to stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies. One of the most popular trends in recent years is podcasts. Podcasts are a great way for Boomers to stay informed and entertained, and they offer a wide variety of topics to choose from.

Podcasts are a great way for Boomers to stay informed about current events, politics, and other topics that are important to them. Podcasts can provide a more in-depth look at topics other than relying on traditional news outlets, and they can be listened to at any time and from any location. Podcasts can also provide a great way to stay connected with the younger generations, as many podcasts feature interviews with younger people who are discussing topics that are relevant to Boomers such as health, wellness, finance and family fun.

Podcasts can also be a great source of entertainment. There are podcasts that cover a wide range of topics, from comedy to true crime to sports. Boomers can find a podcast that fits their interests and listen to it while they’re doing other activities, such as exercising or commuting. Podcasts can also provide a great way to stay connected with friends and family as well as others including the rich and famous like Oprah Winfrey and Michelle Obama.

Finally, podcasts can be a great way for Boomers to stay connected with their communities. Many podcasts feature interviews with local business owners, politicians, and other community members. Listening to these podcasts can help Boomers stay informed about what’s going on in their communities and can help them stay connected with their neighbors.

As most of you know, that this is the premise behind my other podcast, Out and About with Antionette and if you didn’t know, now you know that I am a boomer who will be 62 in September!
