Yesterday I dropped off the last donation of the year at Goodwill and when I checked in via the Swarm app, it showed that it was my 55th trip in 2018!
Earlier that day, my son and I were putting away the holiday decorations which were much fewer than in previous years because we plan on putting the house on the market in 2019. However, there were still a few boxes of dishes in the crawl space so I decided to do some more clearing of the clutter for the new year.
Along with the boxes of dishes there was a box of Tayair’s preemie clothes from 1992, and it was promptly placed in the outside dumpster.
It’s time to clear the clutter for the new year.
As I loaded my car with the other boxes to take to Goodwill I wondered just how much closer I was to totally de-cluttering the house and if it was something that I also needed to do for my mind, body and soul.
What do I need to de-clutter from my mind and spirit as we head into a new year?
It may have been my 55th trip to Goodwill in 2018, but I still have a ways to go to totally rid the house of unnecessary an unused items.
However, starting in 2019, I will be heading into my 58th year but it’s the 1st year of totally being an Encore Entrepreneur whose ultimate goal is to become a “successinaire”
So let’s see…what do I need to rid from my mind and what clutter needs to be cleared in order to make this happen?
Tonight as I kneel in prayer at midnight, I will ask for guidance and clarity in order to totally de-clutter my mind, to remove any negative thoughts, actions or emotions and that my friends will be my last donation in 2018 as we head into a new year.

Great article DelBlogger!! My husband and I just purchased a nice organizer the other day. My writing and thinking space already feels better. Happy New Year!
Thank you sis, I am finding more and more un-used items, but like you said, it feels good to purge and organize.
Happy New Year!
Awesome, I was organized, but by the looks of my office floor, that may have changed!
De-cluttering is a never ending chore. I can’t wait to see where this new year take you. Happy 2019!!
I know, I am getting so tired of de-cluttering only to find more junk – what in the world….I am looking forward to moving into a smaller footprint.
Happy New Year Sis!
Thank you sis, I am still going to Goodwill weekly – making a dent I think!
Sis, I got so much clutter in my home! I need to start going through it and donate the majority of it. And don’t stone me…I still have my holiday decorations up. I just haven’t had the time since I had been out of town.
Okay, I know that I am late in responding, however, I do hope those Christmas decorations have been put away! It seems like I am at Goodwill weekly and always throwing something in the trash, however, doesn’t look like I am making any progress. Good luck to you!
