Our Daily Bread Dining Room of MOT, Inc.
Two weeks ago I attended a Day of Service Event as part of the 2017 Inaugural Activities for the New Castle County Executive Matt Meyers. On a rainy first Monday of the new year, from noon until 2:00 p.m., Matt, his staff and several local volunteers from the community were out helping to serve lunch donated by Pat’s Pizza at Our Daily Bread Dining Room of MOT, Inc.
As the Delaware Blogger and a resident of Middletown for over 23 years, I was surprised that I didn’t know about Our Daily Bread Dining Room of MOT, Inc. Our Daily Bread is located at 214 Broad Street and is a Soup Kitchen that provides nutritious meals to the needy in the community.
Their goal is to make sure that nobody in the community goes hungry and with the help of charity supporters and concerned volunteers, they see improvements and growth daily.
Besty Cave is the President and Volunteer of Our Daily Bread Dining Room of MOT, Inc., and she was kind enough to give me a tour of the facility for this blog post.
