Jessica started Happy Hands and Feet Kidz Transportation back in Texas where she originated  from because her 12 grandchildren, most of them at the time, were in school and had to walk. It was mandated that students in their school district who lived within a 4 mile radius had to walk to school. So for many, including her grandchildren, when walking they had to cross major streets, they would walk in the snow or rain so Jessica started transporting them back and forth to school and soon other parents asked if their kids could ride too.

Jessica stated, “I started taking my grandkids to school, so that they will get to school safely and other parents asked if I could transport their kids too.  We provide transportation from the front door of the home to the front of the school, we don’t leave until the child is inside.”

HHAFTransportation also provided afternoon transportation to sporting events, tutoring sessions or other places that a busy parent couldn’t fit into their schedule, they also transport kids to Daycare Centers as well.  Once the children are inside their vehicle, they can watch movies like Veggie Tales or Bible stories but transporting the children also provides them with an opportunity to just talk or share stories if they don’t want to watch the movies.

 

 

However, HHAFTransportation does not pick up from nor drop off to Hubs which is a location in a neighborhood where several children are dropped off or picked up by another driver in a neighborhood, HHAFT services are door to door, from home to school and from school back home.

Happy Hands and Feet Kidz Transportation currently works with several school districts in Delaware including Appoquinimink, Colonial, and Christiana as well as with DAPI.

 

 

HHAFTransportation is fully insured, and meet all requirements per the Public Utility Commission (DTC). They also maintain a Delaware Highway Patrol certification.
