Pop Art & Bixby Voice Built into the Samsung Galaxy S8

Disclosure:  I was provided with the Samsung Galaxy S8 from Verizon Wireless in exchange for an honest review.  All opinions are 100% my own. #ad #verizonwireless #samsung

You all know that I am die-hard #TeamAndroid and have loved all of my Samsung Smartphones, but I have to admit that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is by far my favorite and I wished it was one that I could have kept.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a thinner, lighter battery with a wider screen that doesn’t diminish the quality of the pictures, super fast autofocus, clarity and superior sound quality which makes listening to music very enjoyable.

As a blogger, one of the most important features on a Smartphone is the photo and video quality and the Samsung Galaxy S8 exceeded my expectations.  I had a blast taking pictures at various events around town including this amazing shot at the Christina Riverfront, however, the one feature that I loved the most was Bixby Voice and Vision.

What is Bixby Voice, you might ask?  Bixby Voice is a voice-activated virtual assistant built into the Samsung Galaxy S8.  Like almost all other IoT devices, Bixby Voice records all of the questions you ask, along with all the answers that it has delivered in response. If you’ve been wanting to take a look back at something you’ve asked in the past, you can access the history feature from within the Bixby app. It will show you the last 7 days’ worth of questions and answers.

Bixby Vision is a feature that’s unlike any other and designed to take your pocket assistant to the next level. Using Bixby Vision you can ask for text translations, snap or search for images similar to what your camera sees, then shop for them right from your phone.

So instead of trying to remember that great pair of shoes or purse you saw someone wearing, just snap a pic and Bixby Vision will give you options of where to find it, same goes for when you’re shopping in a store which is going to come in handy during the holidays.

The Galaxy S8 also has a lot of Snapchat-like filters that are already built in so while hubby was driving, I snapped away and posted a few of the images to my Instagram Page.  As you can see I also had a ball with the Pop Art -aka- Andy Warhol filters as well.

The curved, 5.8-inch Infinity Screen stretches all the way to the edges, so you’ll get the biggest picture possible, without added bulk and fits perfectly in your hand to get the best selfies. The rich, deep contrast and vibrant color with the world’s first HDR-certified smartphone display, and multi-task like a pro in split-screen.

With BixbyVoice, you can ask her to take your photos without needing an assistant which was cool but can be kinda weird if someone is watching you and hears you talking to Smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 (64GB) retails for $756.00

I loved the Samsung Galaxy S8 because of its clean design, built-in Bixby Voice, and Vision as well as the richness of the photos and videos which is what most bloggers want.

I don’t know about you, but I really hate lugging around a DSLR camera when attending a Red Carpet event or Black Tie Affair and find having a Smartphone that fits into the palm of my hand that takes fantastic photos is a much better option.

  1. I LOVE my Samsung 6 and am looking forward to getting the 8 pretty soon! For me, the camera is the greatest part of my phone and now it will only get better. People can’t believe the photos I take, that look professional, are taken with my phone. They will get a teeny bit better soon! Thanks for this!

  2. I have this phone and love it so much! I haven’t used the Bixby feature yet, I need to have it set up. The picture quality on this phone is amazing, and I love I can give my photos a added clarity boost when needed.

Great review sis! I wish you were able to keep the phone.
