Turkey Burger Toppings

Disclosure:  As a member of the Switch Circle for Jennie-O, I received the products in order to facilitate this review, however, all opinions are 100% my own.

Yay, it’s summer which means pool parties, outdoor fun and of course outdoor grilling and one of my all time favorite grilled foods are Turkey Burgers!

However, it doesn’t matter where my burger is cooked, whether it’s outdoors on the grill on the inside on a George Forman grill, what tops my burger is what is really important to me!

I also prefer using Sandwich Rounds versus hamburger buns because I like to cut back on the carbs especially in the warmer weather and it’s really the tasty turkey burger and toppings that matter the most to me!

Hubby likes his Turkey Burger topped with lettuce, tomato, raw onions, sautéed mushrooms and sweet peppers, white American cheese and a little yellow mustard.

Malik on the other hand just spreads his bread with a little sweet and spicy sauce and that’s it, I find it boring and it must be a college thing because I definitely don’t understand it!

Tayair is not as boring, however, he only tops his burger with cheddar cheese, pickles, ketchup, and relish with a few chips on the side.

However, for me, basically, I like putting a salad on my burger because it has to have lettuce, tomato, raw onions, cucumbers, sharp cheddar cheese, spicy mustard and pickles on the side.

Summer Soundtracks and Classics

Aaah…the sun is high in the sky, the days are long and lazy and you just want to kick back…relax, poolside, beachside or hanging in a hammock under a tree with a cool, refreshing drink in your hand.

What would make this day even better…listening to your favorite old school summer songs and on this Wayback Wednesday we are going to listen to some of the summer soundtracks of the 60s and 70s.

The Beach Boys – Surfing USA

The Beach Boys “California Girls”

The Isley Brothers “Summer Breeze”

Although these are not from the 60s and 70s, they are classics which are always on my must hear summer songs playlist!

The Drifters – Under the Boardwalk

C.o.c.o Brown and the Phat Cat Players – Sun Dress

Of course, it wouldn’t be summer without Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff – Summertime

2017 North DelaWHERE Happening List Red Carpet Bash

A big thank you to everyone who voted for me and my previous blog DeDivahDeals as the best Blogger in the 2017 North DelaWHERE Happening  List – it was truly an honor to be recognized for doing what I love to do!

Congratulations to all the other category winners and finalists as well!

The Red Carpet Bash honoring all the winners and finalist was held last Thursday at the Marriott Courtyard in Philly and it was a wonderful evening.

Hubby and I arrived a little late due to lingering rush hour traffic and a GPS mix-up, but once we got there all the stress from driving on 95 was forgotten!

Having never attended this event I wasn’t sure what to expect, however, it did exceed my expectations.  With so many attendees and individual winners, there wasn’t an opportunity to publically thank our voters, however, we did have an opportunity to be interviewed on the “Red Carpet” of which I took full advantage in which to do so.

Red Carpet Interview with the Delaware Blogger

Winners and Finalist from Delaware and Philadelphia walked the Red Carpet, chatted with Laurie of Happening TV, and then partied the night away all in celebration of being chosen winners of either Philly Happening List, Montco Happening List, or North Delaware Happening List.

I don’t even know who nominated me, but I want to thank him or her and to also send a special shout out to Ronni Cohen, Executive Director of The Money School of Delaware who sent me an email letting me know.

During the contest, hundreds of thousands of votes were cast, voting to name the most Happening people, places, events, and businesses throughout the Philadelphia and Delaware regions.

Categories which ranged from the best cheesesteaks to the top designers and the biggest influencers were nominated so I was honored to be chosen the “BEST BLOGGER” in the Delaware People category.

The Red Carpet Bash was a great way to honor all the 2017 Happening List® winners, finalists, and nominees; the food was bountiful and it was a pleasure to mix and mingle with the most happening people of the Greater Philadelphia and Delaware region.

Later in the evening, many of the winners hit the dance floor as DJ Perry Angelozzi played some of the best hits of various genres and as you can see it got many of them out there.

DJ had everyone out on the floor

There was plenty of appetizers, hot pasta, salads, and sweets as well as a cash bar for those who cared to indulge.  It was definitely a great event in which to connect with the other award winners and once again, I want to thank everyone who voted for me and my blog!

Pros and Cons of Livestreaming on Facebook

Pros and Cons of Livestreaming on Facebook

Live streaming: everyone is doing it, but is it right for your business or brand?

You may have noticed that with the addition of live broadcasts on your Facebook feed your organic posts are not getting a lot of engagement. Many users are getting in on the fun and now businesses are jumping on the latest social media trend to promote their brands, as they should be.

Live streaming has become so popular that Facebook’s organic post reach has dropped as timelines become over-competitive with live feeds.

Social media’s live streaming of video is revolutionizing the way organizations reach a broader audience but is it right for your business or brand?

Let’s Chat:  After you listen to this evening’s Podcast on the Pros and Cons of Livestreaming, come back and leave a comment with your thoughts.

The Importance of Time

Disclosure:  This is a Konifer Wooden Watch Review by the Delaware Blogger.  I was provided with the Konifer Wooden Watch in order to facilitate this review, however, all opinions are 100% my own.  Thank you for supporting the blog and the brands that I love!

We have all heard these phrases – “time is precious”  – “don’t waste time” – “spend time with your loved ones” and of course, “what time is it?”

But do we ever think about the timepieces that we wear?

How many watches do you own?  Do you have a jewelry box filled with different styles and colors or do you no longer wear a watch and simply rely on your Smartphone or iPhone?

I love watches and have several but just like shoes, you can’t have too many which is why I like this particular Konifer Wooden Watch because it can be worn with many outfits and not just with jeans or sportswear as evidenced here.

This particular model, the Navigator Ruby is a stylish watch that can do more than tell time. I like the two tone color and even with the outfit that I was wearing to the Cocktails and Comedy Show, it actually enhanced the look.

I love this red and black two-toned Navigator Ruby timepiece. This distinctive wooden watch is 100% hand-crafted from black ebony and sandalwood and the deep rich brown and brilliant ruby-red woods compliment each other.

Hubby and I were looking good as we headed out for the evening, and spending time with him makes my heart sing.

The woodwork of the Konifer Wooden Watched assures that no two watches are alike, with each timepiece having unique features of the tree it was cut from. The face of the watch is accented with metallic accents and displays the time and date.

A sporty compass dial offers an athletic accent and a non-toxic satin oil finish helps to protect the ecologically friendly, renewable and hypoallergenic woods. This wooden watch is made for sport but distinguished enough for professional or casual wear.
