Hello my friends and Happy 1st Friday of Fall!!!
Have you started watching the new season of your favorite television shows including football?
Go EAGLES!
Well whether or not you have, today’s Friday Foodie Feature is a standard fall food which is Crock Pot Chili with Cornbread!
Chili is by far one of my family’s favorite Sunday Supper and it’s so easy to make!
Ingredients
2 – lbs Ground Turkey
2 – Cans of Three Beans or your favorite beans like Kidney or Black beans
1 – Can Diced Tomatoes – any type
1 – Green Pepper – Diced
1 – Package Chili Mix
1 – Medium Onion Diced
Water
Instructions
Cook ground turkey in a small skillet until no longer pink.
Pour cooked Ground Turkey into the Crockpot, add the beans, tomatoes, diced green pepper, onions and seasoning then add enough water so that all the ingredients can easily be stirred without sticking!
Cook on low for 5 hours or high for 3 hours depending on Crock Pot settings.
During the last 30 minutes of cooking make some Skillet Cornbread, using your own recipe or Jiffy Cornbread Mix. Hubby and my mini-men love their Chili served over rice, I like mine plain with a few dashes of Glory Hot Sauce!
What is your favorite way to make Chili?
