Taking Inventory with the
Google Pixel 2 XL
Did you get a new smartphone for the holidays? If you didn’t and are in the market for one you might want to check out the Google Pixel 2 XL.
You may remember this blog post review for a previous model of the Google Pixel Smartphone from Verizon Wireless. Well recently I had another opportunity to check out the newer version, the Google Pixel 2 XL, and I love this model even more!
Not only did I love the style, sleekness, widescreen and long battery life, I loved having the Google Assistant in the palm of my hands who not only helped me organize my day but also kept me aware of the weather and road conditions with just a simple side squeeze that works even when the phone in a locked status.
However, along with taking fantastic pictures in any light and the ability to quickly order gifts and gadgets using the Geek App I also loved the brilliance and clarity of the videos.
While reading the Sunday paper, I came across an article by Elizabeth Weise, entitled “15-minute inventory video is good insurance” and decided to make a digital diary and upload it to YouTube. God forbid, if we ever lose all of our belongings in natural or not so natural disaster, I will at least have a video inventory of our home’s contents!
I still think about and pray for those affected by the hurricanes, wildfires and now mudslides!
The Google Pixel 2 XL is the highest rated smartphone camera that takes beautiful photos in any light and had a fast-charging battery. The back of the Pixel 2 XL is a mixture of glass and aluminum.
The aluminum is covered with a coating that gives it a blackboard-like feel; resistive, grippier and slightly textured. It’s an excellent finish and gives you a sturdier grip than on most other smartphones. The Google Pixel 2 XL is 6 inches, and the screen on the Pixel 2 XL is the biggest on a Google-branded handset.
Head over to your local Verizon Wireless store to check out the Google Pixel 2 XL then come back here and let me know what you think by leaving a comment below.

#TeamAndroid but my sons want me to jump over to Apple…not! Have a wonderful weekend Jenn!
This is a BRILLIANT idea! Especially for someone like me living in a hurricane zone and recently experiencing two (2) devastating category 5 hurricanes. Dealing with insurance is the thing I dread MOST ( after the hurricanes themselves), so making a 15 minute video is really a great idea. I am adding it to my “to-do” list right now as part of my June 2018 hurricane preparation activities. Thanks for the tip.
Darlene, yes, especially since you are in an area known for natural disasters. The mind draws a blank when it comes to providing an inventory to the insurance company, after all, who remembers just how many pairs of shoes they actually have or what’s hidden under the bed or in those “junk drawers”. Glad this post motivated you to get started!
The camera! And this phone sounds like it has amazing camera. Been sleeping on Google!

Yes, Google has a much better phone than Samsung and I can’t wait until it’s time to trade up!
