On 11/12/22, at exactly 12 midnight, 3 Sorors stood on the soil that the Founders of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. did 100 years ago that day.
It was cold, yet their hearts were warmed as they reflected back on the mission that those 7 Pearls committed to just only a few feet from the home of the Grand Dragon of the Klu Klux Klan.
Those brave founders of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority laid the foundation for what became the best sorority in the land.
Thank you Sorors Mary Lou Allison Gardner Little, Dorothy Hanley Whiteside, Vivian Irene White Marbury, Nannie Mae Gahn Johnson, Hattie Mae Annette Dulin Redford, Bessie Mae Downey Rhoades Martin, and Cubena McClure
While Soror Valerie could not be with us in person, her presence was felt by a single picture held by her legacy.
