Southwest Salad from Wawa

Wow, can you believe it’s almost the end of the summer? Soon it will be time to put away the grill and pull out the Crock Pot for some slow cooked soups, which honestly, I am looking forward to.

However, not until then I am still enjoying my summer salads which are not only healthy but delicious too. So if you too are not ready to put away the bathing suits or ready for Autumn activities, head over to Wawa and order a freshly made salad!

Disclosure: This is not a paid advertisement, I just love Wawa sandwiches and now their salads!

I kept hearing the commercials about Wawa’s new freshly made salads so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Southwest Salad, however, put a spin on mine and chose spinach and feta cheese as opposed to the romaine lettuce and white cheddar cheese.

Southwest Salad

The recommended ingredients for the Southwest Salad is Romaine lettuce tossed with black beans, Vermont white cheddar cheese, and roasted chicken, kicked up with fresh salsa and crispy jalapeños. Served with fire roasted poblano ranch dressing. It would have been good created that way as well but I LOVE FETA CHEESE!

Let’s Chat > What is the one ingredient you have to have on your summer salad?

By the way, head over to this weekend’s Traffic Jam Linky Party and if you have one, leave a post of your favorite summer salad, whether it’s homemade or store bought and have a wonderful day!

  1. Oohhhh! I’m going go get it for this! My favorite vegetable/item/anything on a salad is….beets!! I love them! They are probably my favorite food. I can even eat them alone. But I like them in salads or with a little blue cheese dressing, or balsamic or butter, salt, pepper, and sugar…or even pickled with some eggs at home. My favorite salad of all time is the Roots Mayweather salad. I have found others that are delicious. But, I haven’t found another to beat it for me yet. Just yummy! ?

    1. oh yes, I love beets too whether they are in a salad or cooked. Cheese is definitely something that I always have to have on my salads. Let me know when you get a salad from Wawa and let me know what you think.

I want to know what you think, please leave a comment and share with your circle.
