The other day while scrolling through my Facebook feed I came across a video of Will Smith and Jada celebrating his birthday and he looked to be in great shape. However, a few days prior I had watched an episode of Red Table Talk in which Will, not Jada called a family meeting to talk about eating healthier.
Will had gathered his family including his eldest son, Trey to discuss his relationship with food, which he admitted wasn’t very good. The conversation was eye opening to many including those of us who may also live to eat and not eat to live.
He talked about how over the years he had eaten aimlessly without even thinking and at one time weighed 225 pounds! He has decided it was time for him as well as the entire family to make better and healthier eating choices.

Eat to live not live to eat.
That Red Table Talk episode made me think about my own eating habits especially as a Type 2 Diabetic: do I eat to live or live to eat?
With the change in season there will be a change in food choices and it’s vital to make it a healthy change. What changes have you made? What recipes have you found to be more healthy?
Are you a vegan, a vegetarian or a pescatarian? Sodium, Dairy or Sugar Free or do you just eat anything or everything but in moderation?
Let me know in the comments section below about your relationship with food – do you eat to live or live to eat?
I love to eat…a lot….but I also try to make healthy choices.
I used to live to eat but now at 57, I am quite selective in what I eat.
Funny, but as I get older, I find that foods that I used to drool over now make me shudder – for example deep-fried foods and desserts.

I was not raised to live to eat. But as I have become older, I realize I am not in the majority.
As we age, I believe our bodies will adjust, however, they want to be fueled with the good stuff! Thank you for stopping by and commenting, appreciate the support.
I used to live to eat until early this year when my diabetic test results were kinda bad. Now I eat to live and sometimes I just do not have the appetite I used to have. Enjoy October Sis.
I do both lol. But I think I do more living to eat these days than eating to live. I’m working on it. :/
I have to catch myself to make sure that I am eating a healthy menu especially now that I am a diabetic.
