The temperatures are soaring here in Delaware, as a matter of fact this is the first heat wave of the season and with the 4th of July just a few days away, it’s only going to get warmer!

Staying hydrated in the summer is important and if you are looking for something a little more exciting than plain water then try making this Watermelon Slushie.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of Watermelon chunks
  • 1 Cup of Crushed Ice
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Water

Instructions

Add ingredients to a blender or Ninja Bullet and blend until smooth – then enjoy!

  1. This is perfect timing! I just learned how to check a watermelon for sweetness when shopping. I was advised it’s supposed to have a yellow spot and when you tap it, it should have a springy, thumping sound like a drum when you tap it. Now I have an excuse to try it out!

    1. Oh, I didn’t know that, thanks for sharing. I usually buy it pre-sliced because of the seeds, I don’t like seedless watermelon or seedless fruits for that matter. Thanks and hope you are staying cool!
