My sister’s favorite sweet treat was Banana Pudding. I remember every Christmas or other special occasions including my Bridal Shower she would be in the kitchen making this sweet and tasty treat.
Using a dozen bananas, 2 boxes of vanilla pudding, milk, and Cool Whip she would prepare her’s and my favorite dessert.
I always looked forward to her making Banana Pudding every holiday and never attempted to make it myself until this year. You see, my sister was killed in a car accident in 1992 and for the last 24 years, not a day goes by that I don’t think of her with the holidays being the hardest.
However, this year, I felt the need to try and make my sister’s favorite sweet tweet for my own sons and thankfully it tasted just as good as I remembered. The banana pudding was sweet but the memories of my sis were sweeter.
When it comes to the holidays, most families have a traditional pie, cake or another sweet treat that they like to serve and now my sister’s Banana Pudding Sweet Treat Dessert is going to be mine again.
