Family Meal Made for Less Than 2 Bucks

If you read this post with the recipe for Boiled Plantains then you know that during the recent Grand Opening of the Lidl (lee-tle) grocery store in Middletown, they had some great bargains.  In addition to the fresh fruits and veggies, they also had a good deal on their Jasmine Rice, Cooking Sauces and fresh chicken, so in using these three ingredients, I was able to create a tasty meal for 3 for less than 2 bucks each!

  1. You know what? I have never cooked with curry, even though I love the spices. My girls think curry is too spicy, but I think I’m going to get some anyway after reading this post. I love the meal idea; you can’t beat a less than $2.00 meal!!!
