Slow Cooked Chicken and Dumplings

Slow Cooked Chicken & Dumplings

Hello my friends – I trust you all had an awesome week and are now ready to start a wonderful weekend!

Balance of Nature

Last week I started out cooking a Slow Cooked Chicken and Sweet Peppers recipe but ended up turning it into a Slow Cooked Chicken & Dumplings recipe and I am glad that I did because it was amazing!!!

Slow Cooked Chicken and Dumplins

Ingredients

1/2 bag – Frozen Chicken Tenderloins

1 – Package Frozen Stir Fry Mix

1 – Package Frozen Mixed Vegetables

1 – Container of Vegetable Broth

1 – Can of Biscuits

Instructions

  • Place frozen Chicken Tenderloins into the Slow Cooker, top with frozen veggies and pour in full container of vegetable broth
  • Cook on High for 4 hours
  • After chicken and veggies have cooked for 3.5 hours, pop open container of biscuits
  • Cut biscuits into quarters and drop into Crock Pot – be careful when removing lid as contents will be hot
  • Gently stir biscuits to fold into chicken and veggie mixture, re-cover and cook for an additional 30 minutes or until biscuits are firm and not mushy

Serve and refrigerate leftovers as it is just as good the next day warmed up in a small pan or microwave oven.

What are your plans for the weekend?
