Working from Home Wardrobe & A T-Shirt Giveaway

Working from home has been a blessing in many ways and it also has given me an opportunity to be a blessing to others.  Since I don’t need to dress up every day I can be comfy casual and then donate loads of clothes to those who are less fortunate.

On Memorial Day Saturday I held a Yard Sale to assist in the de-cluttering of our home, I sold a lot of household items, however, clothes don’t usually sell well so I decided to post an offer on Facebook.

I asked my friends if they knew of a homeless shelter that would be willing to pick up several boxes of ladies and men’s clothing and I received a DM from Katrina Lucas, founder of Ministry Out Of Bounds.

I immediately called her and then made arrangements for her to pick up the more than 7 boxes and bags of clothes which will be given away at a monthly event they hold in Wilmington.  She, her husband and brother arrived with a pickup truck the following week and I gladly donated it all.

I also have over 40 pairs of shoes, including high heels and wedges to dispose of however, may try to sell a few of the new pairs before donating the others – stay posted.

Anywho, unless  am heading out to meet a client or attending a Chamber event I am usually wearing jeans and a T-shirt and thanks to Create A Shirt, I now have personalized DelBlogger.com T shirts.  They generously provided me with six so I decided to share a few of them with my readers.

  1. How generous and thoughtful of you! Since 1987 I have had a home office so I am an old hand. I find time to make a pot of coffee and put in a load of laundry or sweep a floor as a break. Always got more done at home than whenever I had to go into The HQ with all the meetings, and social interactions. I love the T-shirt company. Thanks for their link!

    1. Thank you my dear, I am loving the t-shirts, and they don’t shrink which is always a plus for me. I am now wearing shorts and tans because it’s blazing hot here in Delaware.
